  • Anybody relocate their fuel filter up top?

I need to replace my fuel filter soon so I was thinking I can get some section of steel line and longer fuel injection hoses and put the filter up top somewhere. Has anybody done this?

What if it leaks? That may be why it's where it is?

I used a long section of fuel rubber line and mines where the aspire one is, just because the aspire filter I had was still new. There are rubber lines at the rail on the top of the engine held with the same exact clamps, so as long as you don't pinch them or put it together in a hurry you won't leak no matter where you locate pieces.

Can use the Aspire setup directly.
It moves the filter to a more convenient location.

          good call John.

you could also get a fuel filter that doesn't have to go in from the bottom. but one that just slides down into the holder and seats on the top lip. won't fall out. that's the route I went. next time I replace the filter it'll probably take about 3 minutes instead 15+

I have mine loosely zip-tied under the brake m/c. I can just undo the two hoses and slip the filter out of the two zip ties. Only about a minute to replace it.
