Sounds like a load of BS.
Gaining 60HP is near double a stock B3.
Also, almost nothing will give you horsepower AND fuel economy gains.
Note the MSRP and their "sale" price.
Also, they say it works on 87, 88, 89. I don't think the computer in the carbureted cars has that kind of control over the engine.

Geneva, if you're farting monkeys, you may want to have that looked at

Nitro, I didn't meant to call you stupid or be mean. Just saying that they claim great things.
They say 60HP and 4-7MPG for EVERY vehicle they list. Most performance tuners/chips interface through the OBDII port- which we don't have. This one would require opening up the computer and soldering, I assume.
And look at the other vehicles listed. They have chips for 70s Pintos. PINTOS! Those cars have never heard of a computer.

Don't see how it could help via the install instructions. They use the same instructions for an Escort.

Installation can be performed by anyone using simple hand tools. The GF module installs into your FORD FESTIVA's engine bay and is connected via 2 wires that plug into the IAT sensor. Diagrams are included. The unit is then able to reprogram the ECU thus improving your car's performance. Everything needed for installation is included in this kit for a quick and easy installation that shouldn't take more than 15 minutes. There is absolutley nothing else needed to have this installed on your vehicle.

The IAT only has to do with the air temperature and therefore the density to get a proper air/fuel ratio.
How would this work other than tricking the ECM and making the mixture rich?

Does a Festiva even have an IAT sensor? Is it built into the VAF?

nail on the head, my friend.

Simply fools the PCM into thinking the air temp is about 40deg lower than actual. It's a 7cent resistor used to bias the IAT voltage. And yes, IAT is integral to the VAF.
