  • Festiva engine bolt torques

The only thing I need to finish off my 1.3 WB is the bolt torque stages for the bigend bolts. Can anybody help?
Also having trouble bleeding the power steering, is there a trick to it?

From the Haynes Festy manual, page 2B-2:
Main bearing cap bolts: 40 - 43 ft lbs
    Connecting rod cap nuts/bolts:
    ...step 1: 11 - 13 ft lbs
    ...step 2: 22 - 25 ft lbs
Rear main seal retainer bolts: 71 - 97 inch lbs

as far as bleeding the power steering add fluid then turn the wheel full clock both ways a few times then check the level. repeat as necessary.

Also for the power steering on some fords you have to disable the fuel system and just crank the car while turning to wheel back and forth to bleed the system.
