  • Radiator Fan HELP (B6T)

    Hi there all,
I'm hoping something here can help me with re-wiring my fan lines to the ignition coil system in my 93 Festiva because the fan doesn't turn on until the temp is almost 3/4s the way up the sensor gauge. There's almost no problem at all when I'm going highway speeds, but almost always a problem of potential overheating when I drive in city.

Can anyone post pictures and help me out?

    Thanks again

BTW, this is a B6t swap car as well, but that isn't very important.

most likely it is not your fans fault,

    it is the radiator.

are you using the stock festy radiator?

you may want to try using the Aspire radiator,

you'll have to modify two radiator brackets,

but it is larger to accommodate the B6T ,

    WHICH IS IMPORTANT!!!!!

are you sure its the fan and not other components of the cooling system, it may be the thermostat or even not enough coolant in the radiator.. do you notice any leaks dose the car overheat?

        fan

i had a sunbird and and the mechanic grounded out one of the coolant sensors so the fan will turn on when the key was turned on.
