aircon idle up

Hi all.
Wondering if anyone knows about a/c idle up on '98 1.3l Festiva Trio (in Australia, Aspire for our US members)
A/C works fine cooling wise. pump cycles and thermo fans work fine, but idle up seems to have packed it in.
Not too much of a problem for me except for the fact that the trouble & strife panics and thinks that the engines going to stall.
Any help would be much appreciated.

most likely it's a BCM switch issue that isn't activating the IAC to maintain idle with a load. i'd need to see schematics of your system to verify, but i suspect your Trio is still using the same IAC system that was in our 90-93 festys and 94-97 aspires.
