My temp gage quit working all of a sudden. I would like to know where the senders are that might be causing this. This is a carbed 88. Also is there a fuse somewhere for the gage? Thanks

The sensor is located in the front of the cylinder head close to the T-stat housing, it's a 1 wire sensor and there's no fuse for it

Just replaced mine last month ('88 LX 5 SPD). Standard brand "T Series" part #TS74T Temp. Gauge Sender.Comment

With the ignition switch on I took the wire off the sender and touched it to the block, the temp gage started to climb from zero. I think the sender is bad.Comment

Autozone temp sender #WT608P. $10.99.......... appears to be some sort of variable ground device. Grounding the wire directly to the block sent the gage to the top.Comment

^^that says to me that your gauge is working properly and definitely need a new sensor
