'88L carb 4 speed. Just finished putting the top end of the motor back together since it came to me apart. Got a freeze plug that was knocked in on the back side of the motor right by the oil pressure sender. With a mirror I can see a tool mark where a punch or something was used to drive it sideways, so I'm not worried about the block having been frozen. Didn't catch it until the head was back on and I was filling the coolant up though. Anyone know what size it is? Napa shows nothing, AZ lists three different sizes but the only one actually available is the 35mm. Does that sound right?
Second question, anyone ever attempted replacing one with the motor in on a carbie? I did it once on an EFI, but the intake isn't nearly as massive. I'm thinking I'll probably just pull the motor, unless someone has a good suggestion to get it in there and replace it without removing things.
