ya my friend just got him self a new 1989 ford festiva auto the person that had it before him cut out the old coil and put in a different coil and now it does not have a spark so i took my coil out and put it in his car and it still has no spark so would the problem be in his wiring

Could be the ig module, test the pos side of coil to ground with a test light with the key on it should light, then the neg side to ground while cranking, it should pulse.
