  • timing belt gasket

so i just got a new timing belt gasket for my 91 festiva and it was because it was looking bad not sitting right or straight in or whatever. ya know? and its completly covered in oil which is wierd since it doesnt actually leak oil. it shouldnt even have oil and its at the top part where there couldnt be oil leaking from on top of it ya know? wow just need to know if this is a bigger concern i also changed the head gasket on it a couple of years ago when the main part of the oil leak started. its not loosing oil level so i dont htink its leaking any more.

It's slinging oil from the cam seal or the crank snout.

^ what he said, if your not even noticing it then its obviously not much but once the timing belt gets covered in oil, there's a slight possibility it could jump time.
