  • What kind of brake pads is everybody running?

My pads are getting worn so I'm thinking of getting some higher quality replacements soon. Just wondering what recommendations yall can provide. Some pads are as cheap as $10 but I would like some close to top of the line if not top of the line pads.

i'm liking the way Pepboys ProLine semis are working for me. good wear, quiet, good cold bite. stay away from WearEver products though (AdvanceAuto) poor wear in, even worse cold bite.

Usually use my jobs standard duralast semi metallic or duralast gold ceramic. Either pad is great.

I run some brand of ceramic (A-Zone?) on Luxstiva, and Raybestos PG Plus on Aqua. Both have the Aspire brake upgrade. (Aqua's calipers are from a Kia Rio but are essentially the same as auto Aspire.)

The ceramics do produce less dust and seem to work just fine. The PG Plus work fine too. I'd say both are higher-mid grade pads. I paid around $30 to $50 per set.

Unless you're really really hard up, I would pay more than $25 for a front pad set in standard pricing. Make sure they're semi metallic or ceramic.

            Right on!!^^^
The ceramics will take heat better, and tend to heat rotors more
The metallic wear rotors more but don't make as much heat.
Metallic can reduce pedal effort some.
There are some really cool ceramic brakes and clutches but not for

Awesome suggestions everybody, I'm okay with $30-$40 brake pads. Sounds like the AZ Duralast are the winner here since we don't have a PepBoys in this city. But the PepBoys pads sound like they're pretty awesome.
