  • Help identify my inner tie rods

So I ordered some inner tie rods online for the 88' Grey Ghost and they sent my different tie Rods.

So I ordered them from the local store and they came in different as well.

Can anyone help me identify these things, i don't know why they are so hard to find, and I wanna drive my Festiva again!!

Old one that came out of my rack on the left.

Here's a pic of my 1991's original inners:

Unfortunately I didn't take a pic of the new ones until I had the boots on, so you can't see them. I think I got them from FMS though and they might have looked like your new ones.

The ones I just replaced on my 90 L were like your new ones also. I'd see if you can find a different part # or something for those odd ball lookin ones.

Yep, when I was ordering my replacements... they delegate the year partition on the basis of the thread-style on the tie rod. "Specify COARSE or FINE when ordering." From what has been posted here, I would infer that the 88-89's used the fine thread and the 90-93's used the coarse thread.
