1990 5-speed does the air conditioner use an orifice tube? if so where is it located. i think it is a dealer installed unit. thanks for any info.

no it uses an expansion valve ,
located in your evaporator housing inside behind the glove box. -
Orifice tube = accumulator, expansion valve = dryer.97 Ford Aspire 2dr 5 sp
