How do you remove the washer head on the hood/ I've searched & can't find the info. Mine doesn't spray, only drizzles. I know, no silly comments. Need to fix this one or get a replacement.
You can release the nozzle from inside the hood by squeezing the two ears that keep it in place. It's not easy to see or reach (I use a piece of metal tubing or needle nose pliers). The jets do articulate (ie they can be aimed by moving them with a pin or stiff wire) but often they are stiff or seized. Many different cars use similar or identical setups so scavenging one from a wrecker is often just as easy and then you'll learn how to remove one without breaking the ears.
Yea, I read that. Could not find any "ears". Tried usein' some curved hemostats, didn't work. Cleaned holes with needle already, think part that hose fits is rusted. probley need a new/old one. Thanks for the help.
90 degree pick tool works perfect to move the "ears" and release it, it's easy.
