How much would someone who knows what they are doing charge me to do it for me? I have seen to many horror stories to want to bring it into somewhere to have it done and i live in an apartment so i dont have the time/place to try to learn to do it myself right now.

Big thing is finding someone who has the proper tools and experience doing them. They may say they do, but if they don't get them adjusted properly you'll just be rebuilding them again in short order and wasting your money. I had a local clutch & brake specialist do mine a couple years ago. They had done hundreds of them and charged me $100 for both sides, but I supplied the bearings since I get them at distributor cost.Brian

Napa charges 35 a side around here, I found a guy to do them on my DSG Festy for 20 a side-M3NTAL MARK! Woo!!

Here is the one question to ask if you want to make sure they know how to do it:
Ask them if they know about the spacers, or better yet ask them to explain how they will do it, without mentioning the spacers and see if they mention them. If they know about the spacers, they should know how to do them.
The spacers are mated to the the spindle of the knuckle, as in the left spacer stays with the left spindle, the right spacer to the right spindle, and cannot be switched.Dan

wheel bearings
it would be wise,to find a reputable garage,mechanic,for wheel bearings. i do both sides,front or rear.same time. labor: 1 hr. per side. [or less] use new bearings,and seals.do it rightComment
