If you're unsure on how to do it, I'd have a professional do it or get a new one. There are several different ways to go about doing it, there is the ''wire'' method using piano wire or simular to cut through the urathane all the way around the windshield. Then there is a tool that you stick in the urathane and pull to cut it, and then there are air powered ones. I have a manual pull type one, can post a pic if you're interested in seeing what it looks like, that way takes a little while though..

I have used a 1" wide putty knife that I sharpened. Push it through the sealant, move over about half the blade width, push it through and repeat going around the circumference of the winshield. Do this from inside the car. Keep the blade against the windshield as go around. Piece of cake and you probably have a putty knife laying around!

If you get one at a junk yard, they do it for you. You can get a brand new one installed in your driveway for $200. If you want to get one out of a parts car, the man that did mine used a hook knife.

Think is I need my windshield off the car for a couple of weeks (cage work) - do not want to call a guy twice. Also there is a whole junk yard of cars I can practice on Will keep you posted, I will try the wire approach.

C'mon, this one has 10 holes in it! For a festiva 8 would be too many.
