    Nope. All kinds of problems. But that's for another day.
    Reason I ask about this part is because I remember when I took it off one day. It was all gunked up didn't know what it does.

            You can look up the silver box on the side of the air filter housing on the Internet under "Ford pulse air system".
            Original owner of silver grey carburetted 1989 Festiva. 105k km as of June 2006. 140k km as of June 2021.
