  • tie rod end removal tool ???

    getting ready to start my repair, my Ford Manual mentions this tool for removing tie rod end

    please advise
    also what size cotter pins ??

      My removal tool (for the outers) consists of a BFH to the flat portion of the steering knuckle with the nut already off till it pops out of the taper lock. I've had the most success doing it that way than any other.

          either HF or Napa, you have to cut out your own 24mm insert.

                x2 on the bfh meets the upper control . Comes loose every time.
                New build on the way .

                      All you need is a 24mm open end.That tool is a waste of $

                      Replace both the inner & outers at the same time.Then get your alignment done once. Rock auto has inners for 15$ cheap each. Jus my 2 centavo's...
