  • Windshield edging clips

The lower piece that surrounds the windsheild has been off of the aspire since i've owned it. I have the piece but the clips(?) that hold it in place in broke. Does anybody know if I can get those pieces at local auto parts stores.. I looked some online but it didn't show anything.

Well I got curious and the guy that actually knows something was working so I checked at o'reillys. Looking at the motormite/dorman book it's part number 45606. They only had four I need six.. and to order two more would take freight charges which he said was high. They were 70 cents a piece. So now it's time to do some searching.

And you can get them on rockauto.com. 10 something for six pieces. I wonder how much mpq i'm losing due to that piece being gone?

glass vendors around here don't carry the clip kits for our cars anymore. I went to the junk yard and out of 6-7 cars i was able to salvage enough to do my windshield. Those chips on the edge by the way are called "clams".
