I cracked the head off of one of the bleeder screws in the pass side drum. I'm going to pick up a new screw on my way home and was hoping someone knew the size, or at least an educated guess. Thanks.

I think he is looking for thread size and pitch...
A good parts store should be able to look up what the right size is for every application. Otherwise you should be able to get a new wheel cylinder for about $15, which is a descent price.Last edited by nonamekid; 03-05-2012, 01:15 PM.The Festiva Store

Just changed the cylinders, the head cracked off the screw while I was opening it up to bleed it. Plus I'd rather not repack the bearings again. And yes, I am looking for thread pitch and dimensions.1993 Festiva GL

If an auto parts store near you stocks the wheel cylinders, have them pull one off the shelf to determine the thread pitch and size. The Festiva Store

Thanks for the offer Greg, but I couldn't get the bleeder screw out. The brass just kept stripping off the screw. I had to replace the whole cylinder, it's all back together now. You know you drive a Festiva if your wife knows how to bleed brakes.1993 Festiva GL

The bleeder screws are M8 x 1.0. You can order one-person speed bleeders from www.speedbleeder.com. Very convenient.90 Festy (Larry)--B6M (Matt D. modified B6 head), header, 5-speed, Capri XR2 front brakes, many other little mods
