  • Orange vaccum hose

    Does anyone know where the orange vacuum hose is suppose to go. It is the one that is attached to the solenoid on the firewall.

      most likely you have a 1988 or 1989 carb'd festiva

      and the hose you mentioned runs from the EGR Valve (passenger side of the intake manifold) to the control solenoid

        Sorry! It is 88 LX. The hose comes out of the top of the solenoid. It is less than a foot long. I think is goes somewhere to the carb.

          Yes, the hoses are black but mine are color coded. This one is black hose with orange dashed line. It is also connected to the orange solenoid.

            exactly where is the solenoid on the firewall,
            drivers side, passenger side, center..............................?????????????? ?

              orange hose

              On my 88L, the orange hose comes out the top of the 2nd (of 4) relays from the left side of the vehicle, on the firewall in front of the driver.

              It goes to a fitting (one of so many on carb'd Festivas) on the back of the carb. If you still need help, PM me with an email address and I'll send you some close-up photos.
