  • 1992 Festiva GL.

I just recently bought a 92 Festiva GL, I put a new radiator in it because the old one had a crack. Long story short. As soon as i start the car coolant shoots straight out of the radiator. People have said it could have lown head gasket but it runs great and no water in oil... So im confused... Any help would be great... Thx..

Where exactly is the coolant coming from? Sounds like you bought a faulty radiator.

more to the point, did you burp the system properly? you may still have air trapped in the system.

you don't have to see water in oil (least likely failure) or oil in water (more likely failure) to have a blown head gasket. most times when a head is overheated, you'll just see bubbles in the coolent from one of the cylinders pushing comustion gasses into the coolent system.

Does the new radiator have the port for a sensor used in carbed models? Some weeks ago someone who had bought a new radiator noticed a strange port and someone said it was so it would also fit earlier models.

Running great and water shooting and head gasket do not compute!
Bleed the air as said above.
