  • Anyone know if AC clutches swap between compressors?

Green Car (93GL auto) is running an Aspire motor with the ribbed pulleys (I was told from a '95 but don't know since I didn't install it). Trying to get the AC back working in that car, it used to have AC and the lines are still there, just missing the compressor. The compressor on Chuck ('90L-plus, V-belt) was good, just didn't reinstall it when I did the B6 because I usually don't run AC in my pizza cars. So I'm thinking if I can put a ribbed pulley on it, I'll throw it on Green Car. I would just pull one from a JY aspire, but the lines are different and I don't want to have to change lines since the ones in Green Car are still in place. Anyone know if I can just put a ribbed pulley clutch on the old V-belt compressor?

I tried it a long time ago and it wouldn't fit. Can't remember exactly why. I put the old one back on and got a '93 crank pulley and went back to V belts.
