  • name that noise, win a prize

    ok maybe not a prize,

sadly I will be trading my festiva in this week, it's been a long relationship and I will miss her....eventually.

    Anyways, my dillema,

I hear a sound which is easiest described as bed springs bouncing whenever I brake, seems to be coming from the front left hand tyre. (same noise weather driving straight or turning) When I'm out of the car I give it a bounce etc but can't replicate it.

I guess what I'm asking here is, do I take it to a mechanic and pay the $ just to trade it in anyway, or trade it and deal with the consequences in terms of trade in value then?

Is there an easy fix I could do myself

whats it sound like to you guys?

    cheers
    V

Brake pads worn down to the rivets and rivets rubbing on the rotor.
      You gonna race that thing?

sounds like springs,or strut insulator,or worn out brakes. anyway,u ought to get it checked out,by a mechanic.if u get rid of car, dont worry about it.it dont sound safe.
