  • two quick easy questions

first of all im about to get a new air filter, any recomendations? kinda like everybody recomends the denso o2 sensor. which i just bought to btw.

secondly ive did some searching but was still a little confused sry. but my cooling fan stays on all the time. i pulled the sensor outta the tsat housing cleaned it up really good, didnt help. i tried grounding the wire that plugs into that same sensor and the fan shut off. so heres what im unsure about. does that mean the tsat sensor is bad or the relay i read about that im not sure where its at. where to go from here?

If the fan turns off when you ground the wire on the t-stat the faulty item is the one you are bypassing which is the t-stat sw.

wrong!! GeorgeB has it right, the issue is an open thermostatic switch (needs replaced). it acts as a ground for a normaly open relay switch.

I coulda sworn I said something about you putting up wrong information, windy1. Stop it.

Yep. it's the sensor. I think they're about 35.00. First part I ever replaced on mine after I got it about 6 years ago. I've almost replaced the rest of the car by now lol.

Yes. this the second post today that he has supplied poor/bad/wrong info.

Understand Windy1, some people do not have the luxury of being a parts replacer. They have a limited budget and it falls to those supplying information here, to help them in the most economically expedient fashion possible.
                      Thus "diagnose then replace/repair".

No, you can't be banned for suppling poor/bad/wrong information.
But, I would not report someone who might label you a "poor source of repair information"!
