Denso or Bosch O2 sensor?

I need to get one in my car tomorrow, I have the bosch currently... I've been putting up with crap milage since my swap a year ago but now I'm fed up enough with gas prices to do it, hahaha. I even knew better before I bought the bosch, dangit!

I might as well add, I hover around the 30s in MPGs but most of the time it dips near 25... I can see the needle move down when I gun it around but it hardly twitches when I'm light footed.

The Bosch probably works well in some applications that require its electrical range; just doesn't work well for us, who need the specs the Denso has.

At Advance Auto the Denso one with the plug is $96; the identical one without the plug, part #234-1000, is like $14. So a minute of splicing will save you $82.

i got my denso o2 sensor at advanced for 54 dollars ish. it had the plug and everything

I picked up my replacement the other day, it's an NTK not NGK as I first thought, part number 22043. Cost me about $50.00 with the plug from Napa. Haven't got it in yet but will report back if there is any improvement in fuel consumption and/or performance.

Correction: the Denso part # 234-1000 for either the Festy or Aspire is $14 at Advance. The same O2 sensor with the Festy connector is $47; the same O2 sensor with the Aspire connector is $98!!! :eeeeeek:

I found Denso O2 sensors(part# 234-1010) at sparkplugs.com for $24 and change, plus shipping of course, but then I found the same part on ebay cheaper with free shipping. I am going to try to improve my steadilly decreasing mpg.

OK. I have the O2 sensor just dangling there with a partially melted plug, can someone post a picture (diagram, sketch), so I know where it needs to be connected.

Someone here stated is in the passenger side near the center of the rad mount, what's a rad?

i'll take it this is your first car, and you have '0' experiance with working on them?

also: dizzy or dist = distributor, mod = module, moderator or modify depending on context, VAF = vane air flow (used to measure volume/mass of air into the engine)

denso is a factory part on some vehicles so the manufacturers must know about the quality
