  • ATX trans code = ?

Got a wrong trans pan gasket from Rock Auto. They wont refund until I tell them what code my 94 Aspire has? When I ordered the gasket it said nothing about a code... Anyone have a clue? I know I can call a dealer on monday. But does anyone know of them using 2 dif types of 3spds?

Don't know the codes, but I have noticed before that NAPA lists a different trans gasket for the festiva and aspire.
        No festiva for me ATM...

Well luckily I ordered a Fram filter. And it came with the correct gasket. Plus its cork, which I like the best for tranny pans.

So weird, just got off the phone with RA. They are going to jus refund the money. But they insist that there is a code. That calls out specifically ATX. Thats the code ATX.

Weird. Well for future reference, the only difference between a Festiva F3A and Aspire F3A is the torque converter. Aspires came with a centrifugal lockup clutch.

No, same gear ratios. The centrifugal clutch enables an "overdrive" on the Aspire but on the Festiva, the torque converter losses don't allow full use of the gear and can't achieve "overdrive".

The Aspire has a Lock-up Converter?
Whats the final drive for the ATX?
Not that it matters for me. Just wondering. I would guess is slightly different than the Festy ATX. For the same reason the 5 spd final drive's are different.
