  • Engine Rebuilder

I hope this is the right section for this, but are there any reasonably priced Festiva engine rebuilders in towing distance from Staten Island?

My 93 L needs an engine rebuild but the cheapest I have been able to find was $2300 with a 1 yr warranty. The 23 includes the labor to pull the engine and reinstall the rebuilt engine, but based on some of the posters here, that just seems absurd.

If there was someone nearby on here that had a reasonable engine for me to swap and a second person whom I could assist in doing the swap I would be up for that. But if I can't find that soon, my poor festy is going to either be offered to charity or put up for sale.

Get a junkyard motor. There's 2 for $100 in Atlanta.

I have an escort gt engine if you are up for a swap, otherwise my cousin Owns tires 13 in Brooklyn on Utica Ave. He located my bp, he can get you a used festiva or aspire engine and do the install reasonably. I am on long Island. Good luck..Joe
