  • no headlights or brights

so i went to take my "road apple" to work and the headlights wouldn't come on, or the brights, is there a fuse that runs the headlights that could have blown, or maybe a relay?
    Thanks :-)

Yes, under the hood, behind the Battery.
It is a fusible link, marked "Head".
Replace with a "long legged" cartridge fuse of 30 Amps color is Pink.
Found at most Mcparts places and Walmart.
    Is Walmart in Halifax?

Good advice. I pulled my fusible links (in the brown box marked EGI/main/head) yesterday in order to check the contacts and to clean them up and one fusible link crumbled in my hand. It's hard to get in there to clean up the male ends and get the loose stuff out but it is definitely a good idea to do once in awhile. Aspires have more conventional-looking fuses and they do plug in on the Festy blocks instead of the funny-looking loop of wire that Festys come with.

Really stupid question here.. Any chance both bulbs both beams blew?? Have you tried to see if there is power @ the headlamp socket?

I shook all the wires that connected to my headlights because of the same situation and they came back on. Not sure if it was a bad ground or not. Is your bright lights indicator on when the light switch is on? If so, I believe that points to a bad ground somewhere. My brights indicator was on when this happened to me but after the vigorous shaking and tapping on the relay it went away and has been working ever since. I know you bought a new relay so it makes me think it might be a bad ground.

Try the switch, spray WD-40 or contact cleaner into it (on the steering wheel).
Do any of the fuses in the box inisde by the door affect headlights?

Ground is multi-connector near headlight relay.

is it only your head lights because the auto seat belts and cluster are also connected to the fuse. when i replaced mine it was a 10amp. i would check all fuses. and the back of the fuses there might be a loose wire in back of fuse box.
