After replacing a failing tie rod ball joint, I need to re-set my toe-in/out.
The only thing search turns up is ".02-.26" (which I presume is in inches) but doesn't say whether this is "in" or "out." Haynes doesn't have any toe-in/out specs.
I'm going to do this like I used to do on my Fiat -- precisely cut to length of piece of rod and hold it up at the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock position of the wheel rims.
Can somebody tell me:
1. Should I should have the wheels pointed up to .26" IN or up to .26" OUT?
2. Is it OK to do the alignment with the front wheels off the ground?
