The other day my friend told me my reverse light was out, i bought a bulb and went to change it when i pulled the panel off i saw this
I figured the gasket was dried out so i pulled off the tail light and this is what i found
I pulled the other one off and the gasket just crumbled.
I used what was left of the first gasket to make the replacement scanned it for future reference. The mouse pads i got are about half as thick as the original gaskets, hopefully it doesn't cause a problem. I printed it out, cut it out, flipped it over and cut the next gasket. I cut it a little big to l eave room for error.
Its not going to win any beauty awards but if it holds out water, i dont care.
If you print out the template to it is Life size. It will give you a basis to go off of if you have a crumbly gasket like i did. Just cut it a little big and trim it down to size and remember on my template the notch that is cut on the inside goes toward the reverse light hole. The tail light is slightly tapered so it will make a difference.
