I just use a big screwdriver. I use it as a wedge. Just stick it between the case and the shaft end and lightly tap to wedge it in the gap. They pop right out.
Never pull the end of the shaft. That is how I get the aspire stuff from the yard when I don't care about saving the shaft. The shafts will come apart real easy.

Only a few times have I gotten the shaft to pull out before the boot ripped. I never save the shafts anyways.

You can get rebuilt ones at any parts store.
Hey Darkdan, we are going to be moving fairly close to you. I just got a job with 3M in Hutchinson.
I drove through Owatonna a few times last week. My brother lives in Rochester, so I went back and forth between Rochester and Hutch a few times for interviews.

Cool!
I got a few crown vic friends that live in Hutchinson. 3M is the better of the two places that are there (HTI or whatever is a horrible place to work I guess).www.dantheoilman.com
