89 L Carburator Problem?

Hi,

I have a 1989 Festiva L.
The engine is in good shape but idle was all over the place. Cold start it would rev really really high, as if I had the pedal to the floor (sorry no tach installed).

Once warmed up I could tap the gas pedal and if the festiva gods would shine on me it would idle nicely. Took it to my mechanic and I guess he lubed the moving parts a bit and helped it. He said though that the carburator was shot and it needed replacement. Does anyone have a carburator they could sell me?

carb doesn't need replaced, the linkage just needs adjusted. i used to have the same problem, you just need to adjust the high idle step down screw and then readjust your idle and accessory kick up screws. it takes some time to get it just right but once everything is set you'll be fine.
