Noticed it was running out, so I go to pull over safely, and I started losing power, and all of a sudden white smoke out the back. Looked under hood and I had a busted hoses.
Should I replace hose or assume she gone

You only paid $250 for it, if those hoses were OEM they owed you nothing!
You should have checked those hoses over before you put her on the road.
Spend some cash and increase your reliability.
It's possible the head is warped, it is also possible it is fine.
Quickest way to find out is get new hoses top, bottom, and by-pass.
If you want to cheap out, run straight distilled or deionized water till you find out if the head is good, then switch to a 50/50 coolant solution.

I'd replace the hose, personally. Even if you have to put an engine into it, being a TX car, the chassis should be well worth the work and funds. I've seen people dumping more into less, frankly. If nothing else, it's a good way to save cash from not buying fuel for whatever your other car is that probably doesn't get 40+ MPG

Replace the hoses. If it still smokes or has obvious signs of a blown head gasket then it will need repair. May be as simple as a new head gasket and a day of work.

white smoke no problem if u pulled off the road immediately, prolly head gasket only which aint that big of a deal, if u drove it awhile then maybe a problem, I learned that one the hard way

Overheat

Don't forget to take out (for test) or replace with new, the thermostat.
An overheat like that can make them unreliable or stick.

Honestly, change the hoses and fill with distilled water and pressure
test, if coolant is leaking into the eng. a new head gasket will almost
certainly take care of it.
