  • Fuel filter relocation questions

I am gonna relocate my fuel filter near the top for easy access today. I was gonna get a 10 inch section of 3/8 inch steel tubing and clamp one end where the fuel filter inlet would normally go and then a section of hose to the other end of the steel tubing to attach to the new filter near the top. Is 35 to 60 psi enough pressure to leak or blow off the rubber hoses on the steel tubing? I may even use two clamps for extra insurance. I don't know where to find tubing with a little bulge near the ends like the fuel filters have.

Why not just use a longer rubber line?

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Or the bracket from an Aspire which relocates the filter higher in the engine bay. and of course a longer length of EFI fuel line.

I never thought of doing this, great idea. I guess I'll have to see where the rubber hose connects to at the bottom.
