    Help!!!!

My timing sproket doesnt want to come off.
Is there a good puller for this?

I never had one stick this hard. I have another, which is good, because I broke this one trying to remove it.

You need a steering wheel puller and 2 long 6mm bolts.

        Thanks!
Thats about the only puller I havent tried. I have a 2/3 arm 2 ton puller. ALMOST works, but not quite. I'll try to locate a steering wheel puller.

A steering wheel puller is what you need. I just used mine to pull the vibration dampener off the 3.8l I'm working on so I can install a new seal. Mine is a little fancier than most of the standard cross bar and screw types. The one I have has a heavy plate with the pulling screw, but then it has slots for 2 bolt and 3 bolt pattern pulling. Make sure you put your crankshaft bolt in (but not all the way tight) so you have something to push against. You don't want the pusher bolt going inside your crankshaft bolt hole and messing up the threads.
          You gonna race that thing?

Props to georgeb for the steering wheel puller idea!

...and .... Duh-uh.... on me for not seeing, or thinking of that puller, while I was at the parts store!

            Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I put a 3/8 x 1 1/4 steel dowel pin in the the crank bolt hole, to keep the center puller screw away from the threads, so as to not mar them up. Removed dowel pin with a magnet after pulling the sprocket.

              puller

Hey don't beat yourself up, sometimes it's hard to see the forest for the trees. Glad to hear things are moving again.

The steering wheel pullers I've seen allow for 2 or 3 bolt pattern.

That area is clean! Looks like something from a manual.
