  • No tail or brake lights on right side? Is it a fuse?

I just found out from my friend that my right side has no tail or brake lights at all. I haven't had any time to check it out til today after work. Could it just be a fuse hopefully or something deeper? The PO had the wires twisted together, so last week when I removed them to paint the rear area, I soldered all the wires together, one by one to avoid confusion. I guess since then, I had no idea the lights were not on. Please help, thanks.

    Did you check the bulb?

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

There is no fuse just for one side. Clean socket and maybe squeeze a little so bulb fits tight.

Take the main taillight harness connector apart and make sure there is no corrosion on the blades if the pins. If so clean and recheck. Start simple first.

Check to see if your getting power there and then if so, change bulb. Like they said above, start with simple things first.

Sorry, forgot to mention it was 4 am when I did the diagnosis. I didn't even have the light switch on so of course no tail lights. The brakes weren't depressed so of course no brake lights. Thirty minutes later, I get in to go to work and its bright as heck in my hatchback area cause the lights were turned on. Turns out it was just a burned out bulb. Sorry for the dumb thread.

Printaboy, do your lights come on at all when you turn the light switch on. If you have lights, then your getting power. Then I would check the light bulbs. It is possible to have two burned out bulbs. If you turn your lights on and you have no front or back parking lights, then check the fuse.

Why dont you look at the fuse and see if its blown?
