  • Replacement ported vacuum switch?

I'm looking to replace the two ported vacuum switches on the underside of the intake manifold. Are both of them identical? I wasn't sure if the two colors white and blue were just for the sake of identification, or if they functioned differently

I'm looking at getting two of these if they are just the same.

I have a manifold with both of them installed. Do you want me to try and take them off for you?

As in you want to give them to me? If they're clean and work that'd be cool. The pair I had were oily and I think I ruptured the white one when I tried to clean it

Mine are clean and dry. You pay for shipping at cost the next time I go to Lewiston. I will try removing them without breaking them, and let you know if I am successful or not.

Are these the two puppies you are after? Let me know and I will try and get them out without breaking them. I will try spritzing to the nearest one first from the hose port. If I can get the first one out, then I can spritz the other one right next to it from the inside too.

Let's dance! I got them out. They are for a carb intake.

They open at slightly different temps from each other.

Can anyone please tell me what the third fitting is for on the bottom of the carb intake manifold? It has a rectangular green connector. I have the connector hanging down and would like to know if I can remove it. Thanks.

Coolant temp sensor used by the feedback carb system to adjust the fast idle cam based on eng temp. Keep it unless you're doing away with the feedback system, in which case you can remove it and plug the hole. The fi cars use the same sensor, so it's a good spare.
