gonna be doing brakes soon and figured I'd do wheel bearings as well, a buddy around the corner has a press, its not as big as the machine shops have. does anyone know what size will work as far as press opening height required ??

I'm working on picking up a No. 3 arbor press. That would do the trick.

I use a big bolt LARGE washers and an impact to zip it together, but you could use a wrench and ratchet.
Im not driving a Festiva because I'm poor. I drive a Festiva because i want to!

If you really want to use a hydraulic press any of the HF presses will have enough
height. Probably a foot throat would be comfortable minimum room. I believe the
shortest hydraulic one is about 26 inches. Some of the arbor presses could be a little
tight. Most any press should have enough width around it.
