adjusting headlights

  • adjusting headlights

    obviously i know how to adjust my headlights, i was just wondering if there was a exact way to adjust them so there are where they need to be... for instance pull up xft from a wall and adjust them xft up off ground???

        Taking out the back seat and stuffing camping gear in there puts the headlights out of adjustment. I used to wonder why people flashed their high beams at me on long camping trips.

          I just park in the street at night with the headlights on and set them to where they look they ought to be, never caused a problem.
          While you are at it you can start it up and take a look at your wiring for any arcing going on.

            Thats exactly how you it do it Boss. I like to do it on level concrete. Measure from the ground to the center of the lens first.If that Dimension is say 38".Then Make two ref Lines at 38" on the wall @ the area where the headlites will shine. Then adjust the height,followed by the other adjustmant. PS We own some land in Mountain Home. Havent been down there in over 30 yrs though.Welcome to the forum by the way.
