For the front yes there's a spacer in there that is hub specific , you cant mix them up.
not really sure why some one on here will know but i think its for preload.

This is 'stone age' advice but I have never regretted abiding by that rule:

By only doing one side at a time (brakes, springs, shocks, you name it) you retain a complete and untouched other side to visually/physically refer to when re-assembly or other problems rear their ugly head.
And confusion happens all the time!

Not all hub-spindle things are created equal. In order to form a more perfect bearing preload the hub things are measured at the factory and the correct thickness sized bearing spacer is selected to insure this happens. This is why each hub needs to keep its original spacer. Evidently the bearings themselves are easier and cheaper to hold to a tighter tolerance as they are finish ground.

I've only found 29mm and 30mm across my Festy fleet over 12 years.

I don't think you really want to torque it back together with an "almost fits" Imperial units socket, particularly a 12-point.

it says in the manual, not to reuse grease seals, (of course it says that about axle nuts too), but I didnt see any replacements on Rock Auto or anywhere else, advice ??/

I use a 1 3/16 oil sending socket. I costs a bit less than the axle nut sockets at the auto parts store.

It depends on the condition of the grease seals and whether you can get them off without damaging them. I've learned to tap the inner seal out by sliding a screwdriver in from the other side.

I ordered my grease seals from my local NAPA store.
