  • aspire swap questions??

okay i know its been said many times, and ive been reading old posts about this via search tool, but i just had some case specific questions...

first, i have a 93L but it has the engine from a 90L+. ive recently swapped the ac from my 90 as well. however ive found a very low mileage aspire engine. and i would like to put it in next weekend. what exactly do i need to do to keep my ac working after making the aspire swap?

btw i only have the 90 festiva alternator, and compressor. but i do have a idler puller still on the aspire engine

do i just buy a aspire compressor, and alternator?

I'm not sure how the pulleys on the compressor are set up, so I can't speak for those, but the pulleys on the alternator will swap, so no need to buy a new alternator if you can get the 4 groove pulley for it.

I just thought about swapping cam and waterpump pulleys. Is the cam pulley easy
to get off? what about just using the ac idler pulley with bracket off the 90 and the
compressor off the 90. will they bolt up to the aspire engine? it seems like i read somewhere that they dont

90 should be a small nose crank and all aspire are big nose . You will need to find 93 big nose crank pulley set and it will all work fine . No need to change cam gear they are all the same .
New build on the way .

I have a question, I have a 93 festiva w/ no engine, tranny, or anything in the engine bay except for the (aspire) brake booster. I just inherited a 95 Aspire motor and tranny. The Festiva has NO a/c so anything a/c related on the aspire motor is irrelevant. I have a festiva (obd1) wire harness and computer. Can anyone help me with some tips and tricks on what I need to get the engine and tranny "swap" to work
