  • catalytic converter

    so i had the windows open and opened her up on interstate and started notice the cat was really smellin bad... wondering if thats a sign of it being plugged?with the pipe off the front it looks ok and the vacuum gauge test doesnt show any signs of restriction... just lookin for anything i can do to help the lil b3 out(theres no emisson checks here)

      Basics, basics, basics!!! Tune up, oil changes on schedule, proper tire inflation, wheel bearings, and good brakes.

        If the cat was plugged (and there were no bad exhaust leaks) the car would have no 'get up and go' anymore. Engine/transmission oil and/or antifreeze leaks are first thing I would be looking for.

          If the exhaust was getting to hot and the car is a little down on mileage and power
          check your timing .

            I keep up on all the basics and it doesn't run bad just want to get the most I can out of it.. I already advanced the timing, ran a 2inch cat back and did the airbox mod to get more power
