hopefully someone can help me... a little back story first, saturday i swapped my engine for a low mileage aspire enging. and i swapped everything off my old daily driver so i know everything was running fine before. i did put a new water pump in my aspire engine as well as seals and gaskets... okay fast foward got the engine all put in and turn key and it starts on third try. anyway very low idle at first. as i didnt know where the idle screw was i adjusted the throttle cable. when i went to drive it there was loud rattleing when accelerating. so i posted on here and found out my timing was off. so i got my timing adjusted and its running great now, however idle was still very low. so i found out where my idle screw was and adjusted idle to 7-800 rpms warm like the sticker under my hood said. but i had to turn my idle screw over one whole turn to get it there. is this normally or is something still off somewhere? so here i am 4 days later and car is running very good but my cold start in the morning it idles less than 500 and wants to die, it hasnt yet, but its also not been very cold.
sorry for the long post but wanted to be detailed for u experts to diagnose my error in my engine swap.
93 efi 5 speed btw.
so now for the question how do i adjust my cold idle? or did i somehow jack up my iac by adjusting the throttle cable which i realize i probably shouldnt of done? or is it possible that it is still a timing problem?
