  • Aspire exhaust on a Festiva?

Just a quick question: Could you swap an Aspire exhaust system onto a Festiva? Just the piping from the cat to back?

It is my understanding that it will work.

Maybe you want to track down or ask 'iceracerdude'; he was specifically looking for one of these E Manifolds last week. Certainly they are cheaper-looking (essentially all steel tubes and welds) compared to an iron casting, but, if they move a car a little bit faster and cheaper then 'all is fair in love and war'.
Warning though; anything but a stock downpipe or other OEM-derived piece will likely not be a direct fit on to whatever you're thinking about adapting. These things don't bother custom fitters but sure will put the brakes on ordinary stiffs that only have a 'fancy for', propane torch and a 'father's day' set of 'Super-Quality' Chinese wrenches.
Been there done that, and for over 3 decades.

Bert, I know your a model enthusiast(not car enthusiast, or even brand enthusiast, as you obviously have no love or respect for an Aspire, even though you KNOW aspire parts are upgrades for your car) but really, you don't have to make up lies about aspires just to put them down, at least come up with something with some truth behind it. Theres no way a cast iron manifold costs more to mass produce than a cut and welded steel manifold.

More likely the two-door Aspire exhaust wuld fit. The four-door's pipe after the cat should be too long. Might have to get creative with mounting it tho (hangers), but not sure of this.
