  • fuel injectors leaking :(

My injectors are still leaking I bought the whole intake kit with all the o rings and gaskets for the intake and injectors. I put my stock injectors back in with all new I rings on the injectors. Sounds great rite? NOT! ran like a mother for a day,I parked it and went out the next day to go fir a joy ride, I start her up and runs rough. I get out and there is fuel pouring all over the floor. I took it all apart and put it together again for the same results! What am I doing wrong? The kit was from auto zone. The weird rings that go on the nozzle were loose. Were they supposed to be ? Any suggestions appreciated

They fit pretty tight, and should shove in both ends tight enough that
silglide or marine oring instrument lube is required. STP, marine wheel
bearing grease, what ever, just not silicone or anything that drys or
    hardens.

^yea that's how I thought they should be too. Correction I got the kit from advanced and they are fir my year escort gt motor supposedly but they fit sloppy. The Mazda dealer wants 10$ apeice for just the funny nozzle ones! I'm going to check the Ford Salerno today to see if theyer cheaper. Why would advanced sell a product that doesn't fit!?

Parts not fitting or working are an increasingly annoying problem. An especially
bad one I just did, I let a local Dr. ebay his steering rack in an Audi. 5 days later
I pulled the car in and attempted to install the new part. All hoses and tie rods
fit perfectly. The steering shaft could not be attached. Slightly off angle than the old
one but looked the same. We had to reinstall the old one to clear that bay. Then
do it again 5 days later. I don't know if my tisseefit and an extra 2 hours labor
had anything to do with it but the car had a new owner within a week! New
        car is a Lexus..
Had a CV shaft, new, with the shaft itself a 1/2 inch short, Had to pay for emergency
towing...going to give the bill and the shaft back to the parts store to see what happens
I hate the way our quality has slipped in our country..

Sorry, back to orings, what ever you put in that fits, make sure the rubber
is rated for fuel. There are service kits for popular injectors that some parts
stores sell out of without having to buy the whole kit.

Can't speak for the dsm pintle caps cause I don't know, but as for the O-rings I've had o-rings originally intended for a '90 Mitsu Galant on Green Car right now for a couple thousand miles, so far without issue.
