adjusting vaccum guage?

Dropped my Equus 3220 hand held vacuum guage and it now reads 5" Hg instead of zero.
Does anyone know how to adjust the guage back to zero?
I don't see an adjusting screw on the outside.
A search of the Internet brought up the owner's manual which says nothing about adjusting.

they are set at the factory, if you adjust, it'll involve removing the face and tweaking the gear inside.

Trees aren't kind to me...
