Fuel Pump Perp?

My buddy and I went on a 150 mile roadie the other day and everything operated great! Later that same night, I had to move my Festy in the driveway for my girlfriend. It started right up. The next day I came out to start it and it just turned and turned. It had plenty of electrical juice. I even jumped it for just cause with the same results. Upon further inspection, all connections were solid and the VAF system seemed fine. However, I did not hear the fuel pump kick on when I turned the key, and I still cannot hear it kick on.

Thus, I believe that the fuel pump may have given up the ghost. Is there anything else I should check for before I decide to throw in a new pump? Thanks in advance!

I'd check for spark too because its so easy to do. Luckily, the fuel pump is under the rear seat so no tank drop.

Spray it good with starting fluid. If it starts up for a minute and dies, its the fuel pump. If it still doesnt start, it's spark.

@ getnpsi: My problem must be that I left a strand of garlic in the back seat from grocery shopping har-har

I sprayed two shots worth of starter fluid in it and it didn't react any differently. I will check for spark next then.

Check your fusible links... I was recently having an issue with one of mine.
