  • on the road a/c repair help needed

I'm working out of town. Levistiva is a '92 5 sp. Got new AC components installed. Had to run a jumper because I didn't have the AC button in dash at the time. AC works great. Found a dash button that is known good. Installed, nothing. Went out under Hood and discovered female connector below radiator support to compressor was cut. Soldered new one in.

    I don't see a fuse. Am I wrong?

There are 2 plugs that the button affixes to. I'm hoping someone can tell me which wires are hot going into the button. Then after the button, I'm guessing the other wires would become hot when button is pushed in. Where do the wires go? Compressor? Radiator fan?

Need help getting this AC going. This is not fat people weather!

    Thanks in advance

There are 2 plug that go into the back of that little switch.

Plug #1 has 2 wires. Should be BLue/BLue/White stripe.

      Plug #2 has 1 wire. Yellow/Red stripe.

Plug #1 has power that comes thru there, then to the thermostatic switch.
The thermostatic switch is the 2 wires that you can kick with your left foot while sitting in the passenger seat. Really close to side of radio cubby.

Plug # 2 is supposed to go to 1 side of the low pressure switch. I know you can run the yellow with stripe to ground and it'll bypass the low side switch and make the button work.

I can walk you thru it if you'd like. It might be easier over the phone, text or talk.

Oh and don't forget there is a 10 AMP glass fuse on the drivers side of the heater box thats behind the cubby. Its in a plastic case and the service manual says nothing about it.
