OK guys so I parked my car the other day no issues ran fine just as usual no issues lately. Well we were leaving for the weekend so I was going to stick it in the garage. It had been raining pretty good for about 24 hours and it wouldn't start. It would crack but wouldn't fire for some reason. Never even tried to hit it was really weird. So I just left it and went on. We got back last night and it starts right up. This morning it was raining lightly and it starts right up. I didn't drive it because I didn't want to get out on the wet highway and it quit me. Anybody have any ideas? I assume it just had water in somewhere. I just want to make sure I get it dried and sealed up.

Its always interesting when things like this happens. The good news is that the engine cranks over. Unfortunately its annoying and you got rained on... I would:
1. Check electrical connections to spark plugs, distributor cap ect...
2. Check for water penetration into the engine (what matt is saying)
that's all I can think of, I'm not super mechanically inclined like some others though

moisture in the cap...wires worn out....
get a can of wire dry and next time it happens...spray the cap and wires. See if it starts, if not...try coil and wires around disty."FLTG4LIFE" @FINALLEVEL , "PBH"

Why I carry a full can of WD40 [Water Displacement.....about the only thing I would use it for, but that's another story] on board. My Festy would crap out sometimes when driving too close behind someone in heavy rain. If I hopped out and sprayed WD40 all over the disty, wires and plugs it would start up again keep me going. Should have packed an umbella.
