  • Sway Bar Bushings

I need to replace my control arms and while I'm taking that much apart, I want to go ahead and replace the sway bar bushings.
I'm taking about the ones inside the mounting brackets at the front of the car.
I can not find direct replacements anywhere. And I don't have the tools or fab skills to modify the universal Energy Suspension ones.
Does anyone know of a supplier that has the Festiva bushings or any better options?

Caution to original poster... this is the part number for CA-SB bushings rather than chassis mount ones.

Yep, ES is about the only option we've been able to find for new swaybar-to-body bushings, and they do have to be modded, though it isn't a very tedious process.
        No festiva for me ATM...

Using my vertical belt sander bought in the late 80's from Lowe's, it took about 5 minutes to sand each one to the correct shape.

Mental, those slotted brackets can move and change your alignment.

I can see those slotted brackets moving with the weight of the car pulling back against them when you hit the brakes.. Kinda flimsy, not near as beefy as the factory heavy stamped steel originals, a fact that is now more clear to me as to why they were made that way. I have the flimsys on mine and it feels a little loosey goosey when I brake hard.

parts place for lca end of sway bar bushings.

Am I just missing it on parts lately? Everyone keeps posting up parts, and I can get them at Autozone, worst case scenario I can have them the next day... NEW and CHEAP!

I hardly check Autozone because the guys behind the counter here can't even spell Festiva, much less count how many fingers they have.

I literally have no power tools nor real workspace. I really can't modify the Energy Suspension bushings.

I'll look into the other ones posted.
